Thank you for this post, I found it riveting to read and I pray that her memory shall be for a blessing. I am not Jewish but lived in Skokie from birth to graduating from University in 1978, so I can say that I am a vocal witness and have always been. I stand as an ally with all my Jewish friends, many of whom are now in Israel.

Thank you Rabbi, your post touch a part of my soul that I was beginning to think was dead or maybe hardened a little. She was a remarkable person I hope her story was also captured by the Holocaust museum. They hold such a strong record of what occurred from people who were there as well, unfortunately.

Thank you for this news. I had the honor, privilege, and pleasure of working with the wonderful Isiah Terman of the AJC and Maxwell Tillman Cohen in New York many years ago. They were jewels in a sea of bigots and civil rights offenders. May she rest in the arms of her Shalom and may she rest in the arms of The Creator.💞
