I love this quote from political philosopher Michael Walzer: “We still believe, or many of us do, what the Exodus first taught… about the meaning and possibility of politics: first, that wherever you live, it is probably Egypt; second, that there is a better place, a world more attractive, a promised land; and third, that the way to the land is through the wilderness. There is no way to get from here to there except by joining together and marching“.
We are living our own Exodus as we speak. From our past to walk with God. Some go quickly into his promise land others take years. I am one that have taken years to understand this. It wasn't until I asked for Him to make it real in my life.
I suspect you weren't intending to respond to me, but to the rabbi, however I can't resist: YES! Almost every day, in fact. Not literally, but the themes of Exodus are at the core of my belief system.
Those young people are fantastic. There is nothing quite like listening to "young" voices joining together especially when they have such a positive purpose. ty
I plan to buy this, but please, I beg you, do not promote it on Amazon.
Rather, bookshop.org supports independent booksellers and, as an added bonus, does not support Bezos.

I hear you. Bad timing for an Amazon mention. Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure where else the book is available.
The book is listed on bookshop.org and I put the direct link in my comment.
Have you ever considered how the Exodus relates too our
Own lives?
