I am an American Christian, but I do not dislike Israel, Israelis, or any person of the Jewish faith. What I do not like is the far-right Israeli government that believes that the Jewish faith is superior to all other faiths and should not be allowed in Israel and all others should be driven out of Israel. I feel the same about the far-right white Christian nationalists of the US, who also believe that their form of Christianity should be in control of the US!
This discussion really clarifies a lot of confusion on my part. I feel more hope for my beloved Israel. The present administrations - both Israel and the USA - are doing more to fan the flames of antisemitism in the world. Unfortunately they are there. A "damned if you do and damned if you don´t" situation. I still think that Bibi finally found someone dumb enough to do his bidding. All he had to do was dangle the bait - again - the peace prize in front of Donald the Dummy. Of course he takes it! It didn´t take much cleverness on Bibi´s part 🙄.
I think that you mis spelled peace. I know trump has been belly aching about not getting the Peace Prize; but, I think that he is more than happy to have a piece of everybody's pie. After all, he wants Gaza, well he and his sons and son-in-law. He has carved out a piece of the White House, he fantasizes about cutting out pieces of countries for oil and minerals.
I have read that several previous American Presidents have resisted Israel's attempts to engage the US. All it really took to engage trump in all of this was a nudge. I think the carrot was Iran's oil, even more than the possibility of getting a Peace Prize for stopping a war that he, trump, illegally started.
Bibi and trump are a single coin. I think of Bibi on one side of the coin and trump on the other. No matter how you toss the coin you see a loser, a soul less human being.
It makes me sad to think that everyday Americans and Jewish people suffer the consequences of their behavior. I read Marc's accounts of what it is like not knowing when the sirens will go off and having to disrupt whatever one is doing to head for a shelter.
As a child I remember the once a week testing of sirens. Of course the sound was expected, nothing like what Israeli people go through. I lived above a bomb shelter, it was the basement of a hotel.

Thank you, Susan! Very clever and very accurate remark - yes, they all want a piece of the pie, and so many innocent people are killed for them to satisfy their greed. I like the coin analogy, but not the coin of course. I remember the "drop!" command from teachers in my school years (we´re talking the 50´s) which always came without warning. But that was a totally different time and threat (only an atom bomb). Oh me. "When will they ever learn?" to quote the famous song.

I don't remember the "drop" command in school, only the fire drills.
I like that song as well as "WAR, what is it good for? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING"
